1. How to Reach Consumers Distracted By Elections And A Financial Crisis
  • It’s clearly a challenge to reach your target consumer with your advertising message, especially now during the home stretch of election season and an economic crisis. So, how do you get your “share of awareness” at a time like this? Here are three nontraditional methods:
    1. Go back to your best customers and send them a handwritten note, inviting them to a special private “VIP Sale” or a non-selling special event, such as a guest speaker series.
    2. Practice “employee evangelism.” Make sure employees have a “value story” to tell that differentiates you from your competitors.
    3. Accelerate your networking opportunities. People prefer to do business with people they know rather than with strangers.

2. Unveiling the SEO Secret of LinkedIn

  • LinkedIn is a social network that many of you are already familiar with. It is a network for business professionals that helps put people together and sets up new and potentially profitable business relationships.
  • But besides being a great business-networking tool, LinkedIn helps your SEO efforts by developing links, which Google loves. LinkedIn does not use the “nofollow” attribute on its links as other networking sites do.
  • Participating in LinkedIn enables you to build links between your Web site and your blog, and Google loves links! For more information on LinkedIn, click on www.linkedin.com

3. Texting Surpasses Cell Phone Calling. Does This Surprise You?

  • The number of text messages received or sent via cell phones has now surpassed the number of calls made.
  • A Nielson survey (www.nielsen.com) reports that during the second quarter of 2008, the average mobile customer sent or received 357 text messages (but only made 204 phone calls) per month — a 450% increase in the number of text messages circulated monthly during the same period in 2006.
  • If this is your target market, we suggest that rather than collecting e-mail addresses, you should be collecting cell phone numbers and starting a “Text VIP Club” for your business.

4. The 60 Second Close: Do You Want To Be The Best Or The Favorite?

  • It’s likely impossible for your company to be the best, but it’s highly possible to be customers’ favorite. Don’t waste your dollars trying to become the best. Allocate them in ways that help you become the favorite among your customers. And that usually starts by providing royal customer treatment.
  • Interesting in knowing how you can become the favorite in your business sector? Then call us. We can help you get there … faster than ever.
