United Way of Northeast Florida named AXIA to its Circle of Honor with a platinum award during its annual Community Celebration event at the Florida Theater. The platinum award is given to a company that meets two of the following three criteria: over 80 percent employee participation, a $250 or higher employee per capita ratio and a 25 percent or higher employee campaign increase. United Way of NE Florida raised a total of $26,152,688, a 4.6 percent increase over the 2006 campaign.

The agency also launched a new brand and kicked off a media tour for its client, Vizergy. The four-day conference included hotel and destination specific exhibits and seminars, including online marketing strategies and managing reputations.

Mudd joins Counselors’ Network
The Florida Public Relations Association's Counselors’ Network accepted AXIA founder and CEO Jason Mudd as its newest member. Mudd is internationally accredited in public relations (APR). Membership in the Counselors' Network is open to universally accredited members in good standing with FPRA who is actively engaged in providing counseling service, either as a full-time principal, officer, partner or employee of a public relations firm, corporation, organization or agency, and who has been engaged in a counseling capacity for at least three years. The Florida Public Relations Association's Counselors' Network was created to give senior-level public relations counselors and practitioners an opportunity for professional enrichment and continuing education. The network was designed to advance the professional status of its members, while catering to their interests and giving them a means of advancing the profession.

AXIA was named Small Business of the Year by the Amelia Island-Fernandina Beach-Yulee Chamber of Commerce today. AXIA was nominated by clients and chamber members and selected by the chamber's board of directors. In 2006, AXIA grew a number of businesses in Nassau County, donated services to a number of community organizations, expanded into Tallahassee, erected a community skate park in Fernandina Beach and helped the chamber launch a successful marketing plan.
